Vegas....

Right now I am sitting in a very spacious room with a king size bed. I am watching a flat screen tv and I may or may not be wearing pants :)

Plaza Hotel & Casino has graciously paid for my hotel, my BSU ticket, and my Gas. They are real troopers.

Down stairs there are about a thousand machines dedicated to stealing my money, but somehow the wheel of fortune machine has been consistently fortunate for me.

But how can someone brag about chance? You can't really.  I am just thankful. I also sold my bicycles in SLC. I was able to turn a 110 dollar profit on them.

I was just so happy to get those things out of my car!
Today I am resting.... And it is nice.

My Basics!

  In my mind, I thought food was supposed to be extremely cheap here... After tip I paid 16 dollar for my last burger and fries meal at a casino. So I assembled a food survival kit. I proudly carried my walmart bag through the casino to my room (I would have walked past the food court if it wasn't out of the way)

Once you get out of the Neon light reflections things are actually cheap. My standard for price of living is simple: What is the price of the Mcrib?

Here it is 1.99 the lowest I have seen.
In Boise, ID it is 2.79, In richfield UT it is 2.49

Do You Know Your Headed To Hell?

  Not usually the first seven and only words I would say to someone. But that is exactly what happened to me as I was walked into the stadium last night. His eyes weren't the eyes of a loving christian. I am not saying he wasn't saved, but there was no compassion in his eyes. Just cold judgement. Apparently the refusal of his pamphlet from him and his group was enough to get an immediate verdict.

  Jesus is my ultimate judge (and advocate) and I am always at his mercy. Thankfully not at the mercy of this random stranger...

One question arose from this: would it be considered rightious anger if I punched him in the face?

The Bike Debacle

I own a compact 2 door car. I already know that this trip will stretch the limits of my storage capacity. So why on earth did i buy these 2 bicycles? Its a disease really.

When I see two road bicycles for 30 dollars apiece, I see hundred dollar bills. I see alot of things now-adays as hundred dollar bills, but sometimes practical sense isn't the same thing as real cents. So I now have a burden which I am trying to part with....

Traveled 380 miles.

Tired

I was pretty close to not blogging and I thought, well if I don't the first day, I probably won't keep doing it.

So I checked into my room at about 10:00pm



AIRBNB.COM Experience

nice people... nice house.. It has 7 rooms in it. At 10 dollars a night I don't have any complaints, they seem like cool people who just want to meet interesting people. Apparently I am their first guest, and they are my first hosts. They said they barely put the room on and have been getting alot of people wanting to move in and making all sorts of weird offers like mowing the lawn and stuff. Pleasant experience thus far. John the guy that runs things, also works from home like I do doing online stuff, so that was interesting.  The neighborhood is really nice.

My Lost Find:

On my way to Lehi, Ut I stopped at twin falls to do some buying. I found Quickbooks Pro almost identical to the one I already sold for 150, problem is I forgot to get it from behind the counter after checkout. by the time I realized this, It was too late to turn around, I would have gotten here at about 11:30pm and that would have been akward as people are already sleeping.  So I feel stupid but oh well

Reflecting on my trip so far:

This trip isn't just about making money, its about lifestyle. I wanna be the type of person open to new experiences. I want to be able to just get up and go somewhere and be OK. My longterm plan is integrate flying places for books and doing things at these locations that I enjoy. Like maybe going to BSU games or concerts, and cool stuff.  So I'm not gonna be obsessed about making tons of money, but enjoying my experiences and maybe making some new friends.

Why Not?

That is a question I ask myself more now,... why not... What is stopping me, absolutely nothing.  Tomorrow morning I am headed off to Twin Falls on a book run,... than Salt lake city.

I found an interesting website called airbnb.com which allows individuals to rent out a room to strangers. Ha ha, so lets hope this isn't like the movie hostel. 

I have already purchased two nights stay for a mere 22 dollars including the 2 dollar fee the site charges.. Not too shabby. 

I also found another site called couchsurfing.com where people let you crash at there house for free,  but I am abit hessitant to try it, but if this trip is long enough I will make a point of it. And I will ofcourse blog about it

One of my bigger concerns is money. I just blew all my excess on a motorcycle and ipad this last month. I am running on a low tank already, but I don't care. When I get an idea in my head I don't like to wait around. So Im gone, tomorrow morning.

Maybe my funds will prevent me from going further than SLC,.. but I want to keep going....
